Find answers to the commonly asked questions about our solutions

The main idea is still having a web page open under your unused domains, in order to improve the SEO, get better ranking for the domain and earn some advertisement revenue. Another reason to use parking service is to show visitors a sell price for the domain or accept offers.

One of the main differences between regular domain parking and the solution offered by Wildcard Parking is in the way domains are handled on the parking server side. One of the main features of Wildcard Parking is that you don't have to keep an updated list of domains which you wish to park with us. All you need to do is change the name servers of your domain, that's it.
Another huge difference is the unique combination of content shown for each domain name, including page title, image logo, slogan, description, keyword analysis, news, gallery, and much more. For more or less complete feature list please visit: //wildcardparking.com/features

Great question!
With free parking services you are sharing your ad revenue with the provider. In most cases it ends up bringing you very tiny income in comparison with running your own advertisement on your own pages, especially if you have advertisers who wish to pay for your ad spots.
Our research showed that the domain running on regular parking brings about 80% less than when running it's on ads on it's own parking page. We have actually pointed some of our most active domains from our own parking pages to few of available parking providers, and we've seen a huge difference, in average, 2 weeks with our own ads made us $20/domain, and during 2 week with regular parking we only made less than a $1/domain.
Even though this experience can not be applied to every domain, and it is definitely not a point of measurement, it still proves that there is a big difference between running your own ad network and having others do that for you.
In most cases that difference will cover the cost of our service and bring more income.

Even though we are not focused on showing our ads and sharing revenue, we do have this option in a form of addable blocks for templates, which will show ads from our advertisers, in case the account holder doesn't want to run their own ads.

We currently accept all methods available through: PayPal, Skrill, MoneyBookers and of course Bitcoin.
If you wish to use a different type of payment, please send us detailed information about the payment provider and hopefully we will have them up and running on our site shortly.

You will get your own name servers, assigned to your account within 24 hours after signing up for our services. These name servers will work with your account only and will open your parking pages to any domain using your name servers.

Yes, we can create child name servers for your own domain, and they will work exactly the same way as ours. This is often requested by our REGISTRAR account holders, and it makes the registrar look more professional.

It's very simple. Only 2 steps required:
1. Sign up for an account at WildcardParking.com
2. Change your domain name servers to the ones assigned to your account with us.
That's it! The rest is magic.

Yes. After you point your domains to Wildcard Parking servers, you are able to manage any DNS record from your account. We currently support the following DNS record types: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, LOC, SRV, SPF, NS.

Yes. We have few users who provide 3rd level domain registrations (ex: domain.ae.am) and they set the wildcard A record to our servers, so any misspelled or not yet existing domain opens a special page, suggesting the visitor to register that domain while it's available.

When you create an account with us, you don't have to add any domain information to make them work. When you simply change your domain name servers, as soon as the domain gets at least 1 visit, it automatically registers in your account, and you will be then able to control that domain settings from your account. This is done so that you don't have to constantly update your domain list, any domain that isn't getting any visits for over 3 months will automatically be deactivated and will not show up in the list.

By default the domain list in your account will be sorted by latest visited domains, in order to make it easy to access the most active domains faster. You are able to change the sorting the way you wish to see the domains.

No. if you already have another DNS manager which you like, you can simply create an A record and point your domain to the IP address assigned to your account.

Yes. We provide an option to choose if you want to deactivate wildcard feature in your account. This will require manually adding domain names which you wish to park. The rest of the services and features will work exactly the same way as with our wildcard parking.

Yes. Please send us an email with your domain list and current registrar for each domain. We will review your list, and request missing information for each registrar. We usually complete such tasks within 24-48 hours, unless there are issues related to some of the domains. When any issue found, we will let you know.
It is recommended before sending us your list, to make sure none of the domains are or very close to being expired.

We have ready-made templates which are available at //wildcardparking.com/templates. Our templates are specifically created to meet certain needs of beginner domainers, professional domains and registrars. These templates usually do not support editing and come as they are. We have also created a great page builder which allows you to easily create any template you wish, using our large selection of domain-related blocks.
If you ever have any trouble using it or would like to learn more, please drop us an email.

This really depends on the type of your account. Every account has it's own limits and we do run different promotions once in a while. So the best way to find this out would be to check your account settings.
If you ever need anything more than is provided with account of your choice, please let us know. We will be happy to hear your feedback!

In order to create impression of a unique website for each domain, we have created our "automated image logo" tool, which basically takes the domain name, creates an image logo, attaches a related icon to the name, and loads it as a complete PNG file to your parking page.

Most parking services out there offer same exact template for the whole domain portfolio. We, on the other hand, use the domain name itself to pull out all related keywords, and show specific keyword related content and information. So depending on what your domain is about, how long it has been registered, how far it is from being expired, and many other factors we combine and generate unique set of content per block.

There are many reason why and how, most of which would take pages to explain, but to put it short, we show 80-90% of unique content per domain. This makes every domain load it's own separate website, and this can not be anything other than good for SEO.

Yes. Even though we try to create ready-to-use templates for any domainer need, we understand there will always be a need for special customization. We do offer very competitive pricing on web development and design, which you can find here.
To discuss details you can always contact us using our contact form here.

Almost every block we offer for our templates requires some processing, data discovery, data design and transfer. More blocks required to open on one template take more time. This is done to keep your parking landing page light enough to quickly open and not make your customers wait for it and leave the page before it even loads.

If you like our dynamic blocks and wish to use more of them than offered for each template, we suggest creating different templates and using different blocks with each. This way you will be able to enjoy all the blocks by still keeping your customers happy with the load time.

If you still wish to get more blocks on your template, we can always create a special account for you and even run it on a separate dedicated server. For that, please contact us to discuss the details. Our goal is to keep you happy!

We do not offer direct domain registrations from our website, however we do provide domain management services for some of our corporate customers. We have access to the lowest cost registrations for almost all extensions out there, be that ccTLD, gTLD or new gTLDs. You are more than welcome to contact us for that matter, and we will be happy to discuss the details of our domain management services with you.

We support all currently active and available for registration gTLDs, ccTLDs and new gTLDs. There are about 1800+ currently available extensions and about 700+ more in the oven, being baked to come out within next few years. We can proudly say that we currently support ALL extensions, with very minor issues on some, but out goal is to provide a solution where there is not extension left behind!

IDN stands for Internationalized Domain Name.
An internationalized domain name (IDN) is an Internet domain name that contains at least one label that is displayed in software applications, in whole or in part, in a language-specific script or alphabet, such as Arabic,Chinese, Cyrillic, Tamil, Hebrew or the Latin alphabet-based characters with diacritics or ligatures, such as French. These writing systems are encoded by computers in multi-byte Unicode. Internationalized domain names are stored in the Domain Name System as ASCII strings using Punycode transcription. More here...

We are working hard to make every single IDN show up on your parking pages in it's native language. Some IDNs are a bit tricky to work with, but so far we were able to make them work as they should.
In case you find an IDN showing up any other way than it is supposed to, please let us know!

No. We do not offer such service at WildcardParking.com. And this is done in order not to confuse our customers with different type of domain lists inside account.

Yes. Our REGISTRAR package comes with FTP access to your own server and allows you to upload any website. The requirements should be checked with our technical team prior to uploading. We will do our best to support any feature required to run your website.

In order to maintain affordable pricing on our services we have designed our packages specifically to handle traffic usual to domain parking. Parked domains usually get very light amount of traffic by itself. If you have a domain which gets enough traffic to make you worry about this, we'd say don't park it, make a business out of it. We'd even be happy to provide consulting and help with an idea. :)

SSL is a standard protocol to secure online transactions. Data transfer over a SSL connection is encrypted and only readable for the sender and receiver. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer.

You don't. Every one of your parked domains will automatically request, confirm, install and activate it's own SSL certificate. There is absolutely nothing you need to do to activate SSL certificates, and you can always switch them off for any domain you don't wish to protect for any reason.

Yes and No. Only main domains will be automatically receive an SSL certificate by default. That said, if for some reason you wish to get an SSL certificate for a subdomain, please send us an email and we'll take care of that for you. The subdomain will also receive it's own SSL certificate and it will also be FREE.

The SSL certificates we're using are provided by LetsEncrypt.
Let’s Encrypt is a free, automated, and open certificate authority brought to you by the non-profit Internet Security Research Group (ISRG).
We're very excited and happy to be able to offer this great opportunity for our customers to protect all their data with no complicated setup and maintenance involved.

In order for the SSL certificate to be requested, the domain should receive at least one(first) real visit. As soon as that happens the request for SSL certificate is created and will be requested with 24 hours.
If for some reason this process takes longer than a day, please contact us and we'll be happy to look into that.

Grey lock sign means the SSL certificate is deactivated for that domain. In 99.9% of the time this will happen when you click on the lock to manually deactivate the certificate. This can be undone simply by clicking on the grey lock and it will turn green and activate again. In case if this doesn't work for you, please let us know via chat or contact form.

The activation period for any certificate is 3 months. However this doesn't mean that you need to do anything to keep them active. We will automatically renew every SSL certificate before it expires. You will always have active certificates on every domain you have the certificate switched on, as long as LetsEncrypt is functioning the same way.

The orange lock sign means the SSL certificate activation is in processing stage. Be that new request, renewal or any other reason.
If you find this happen to your domains too often or for too long, please contact us via live chat or the contact form.

When https:// shows up grey in the browser bar this usually means that the page itself is protected but it contains links or blocks from unprotected source. This usually happens when a widget or a picture is linked using a http:// connection instead of https://.
Since we allow custom links and affiliate widgets on some of our templates, it is possible you might see this happening sometimes. We recommend to be careful with what you link to your pages in order to avoid such things.
In case you're not sure why this happens to your template, don't hesitate to contact us with detailed information on the problem, and we'll look into it.
